Calisthenics and Bodyweight Workouts – Calisthenics are a form of resistance training that utilizes the body’s own weight and gravity to provide the required resistance. They involve using the body as a whole rather than isolating muscle groups as in some resistance training.

For instance, a mini circuit of press-ups combined with burpees, jumping jacks, planks and mountain climbers will target every muscle group (from calves to the upper leg, core muscles and upper body muscles) as opposed to traditional resistance training that will tend to target muscle groups individually.
